At Simonsen & Rana, we are extremely concerned with safeguarding our clients' interests. In order for our clients to be preserved in the best possible way, we adhere to rates that are clearly lower than average. The hourly rate varies between NOK 2000 - 3500 items. VAT.

Fixed price per assignment


To avoid surprises, we also operate with a fixed price per assignment that is agreed with the individual lawyer. In this way, you are protected against surprises, at the same time as we are committed to carrying out the assignment in a thorough and efficient manner.

 

Free legal aid

In order for us to be able to help as many people as possible, we also take assignments with Free Legal Aid. In such cases, our legal fees will be covered by the government. You will thus avoid paying anything beyond the deductible, if you meet the criteria for this. In order to be covered by free legal aid, the following criteria for income are set;

For a single applicant at present (2022), gross income cannot be higher than NOK. 246 000
For applicants who are married or cohabiting at the moment (2022), gross income is NOK 369 000.
Applicants who earn more than this will not normally be reimbursed for their legal costs through it
public. However, this does not apply to cases where;

Some cases under the Immigration Act and the Citizenship Act.
For those who are a party to a case where the child welfare service has made an intervening temporary decision, but the decision is not followed by the child welfare service, continuation of the case begins.
For those who are a party to a case where the child welfare service has started preparation for a case to be processed in the county board, but where the case is still not sent to the county board.
Where a lawyer is appointed for the child in a child distribution case.
For accused who raises a claim for compensation for unlawful prosecution.
Cases where victims of violence demand compensation from the perpetrator.
Some cases for conscripts in first-time service.
To those who have been exposed to sexual crimes, forced marriage, human trafficking, to assess matters of importance for review. The same applies to those who have been exposed to breaches of contact bans or expulsion decisions.
To the person who is the victim of forced marriage or attempted marriage, but where the case has not been reported.

In criminal cases, the entire fee is covered by the public sector.
